The upper-mid occasion band — designer and handloom-woven Banarasi silk sarees, made for the weddings you attend and the festivals you host.

Straight talk about this shelf: it is small right now, and it is Banarasi. Three sarees are live — a Port Gore blue printed Banarasi at ₹10,004, a Galliano yellow woven Banarasi soft silk at ₹10,125, and a Lipstick pink woven Banarasi silk at ₹10,197. At this level you are paying for loom time, zari density and finishing rather than for a label; each product page states the exact fabric, and blends are labelled as blends. Much of our heavier handloom and pure-silk weaving is not on the live shelf at the moment — the collections linked below are the fuller ranges to browse.

Note that this edit also carries a ready-to-wear lehenga choli alongside the sarees, priced a little above them.

Choosing between the three

The woven pieces — the Galliano yellow soft silk and the Lipstick pink silk — carry their pattern in the loom, so the zari catches evening light and reads richest at receptions and sangeet evenings. The printed Port Gore blue is the lighter, more forgiving drape of the three: better for long daytime functions, and for anyone who wants Banarasi motifs without brocade weight.

What to check before buying

Zoom into the border and pallu photos — that is where a Banarasi earns its price, woven or printed. Confirm the fabric line and the blouse piece on the product page, and plan on dry cleaning. Woven soft silk creases far less than a kora-heavy Banarasi and needs no starching.
